Bedroom 2

In the bathroom we replaced the vanity, replaced the vinyl floors with tile, and replaced the tub surround with a new tub and a tile surround. There are also new lights and faucets.

In the kitchen we kept the appliances, painted the wood on the cabinets, painted the walls, and put in a new backsplash, replaced the countertops and put in new faucets.

Would you want to rent this place?
I cleaned an apartment in Strathmore that is this ones twin I swear!! Great job on helping it get beautiful because I know how ugly it was to begin with!!!

ReplyDeleteAmazing transformation! The kitchen looks so good, and using the old cupboard doors is a great way to keep things somewhat green. Great job. And Calgary eh? I went to Mount Royal seven years ago, love that city.

Well done, such a transformation. We have all had the experience of living in places just like that but you really have shown your creative flair in the conversion.

ReplyDeleteamazing transformation.
ReplyDeleteOh my...one of the kitchens in my home has these kitchen cabinets and I can't stand the outdated look of them. Please get back to me on this one. Did you just paint the wood to match the formica or did you paint the formica too? What type of paint works best to adhere to it? Please write to me and explain more details on the formica paint job. Pleasse! I'm desperate for an updated look. Your kitchen looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely transformation!

I painted the wood trim to match the cabinets. I used a bullseye 123 primer from home depot (which is the best for no sanding) and then used benjamin moore's Aura paint. I hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI found you through Better After and just wanted to drop by and say what an amazing transformation! I love how you updated everything and still kept the costs down!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
Wow! What an improvement. I feel like I'm watching Scott on HGTV's Income Property.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
I blog hopped over to your blog from "Better After". Love what you did. So much better. I have a question for you, how did you go about painting the kitchen cabinets? My sister has the same ones in her house and we want to refinish them I have done real wood cabinets before but these have a different finish then wood. Did you just prime and paint?
ReplyDeleteit might help if you could write me back :0)
